Politics: “Seeing at cover is not a full reality”

It’s been a while I don’t post any article. Do you miss me, pals? Well, FYI, i miss writing about social or politic side. Yes, I have been focused on dancing and all the college materials about communication and the technologies. It was quite hard to determine my time to watch, to read deep about any news that are related to our country, or something around me. It’s silly, right? But, there’s nothing late to discuss something about social life and also politic. The words that i put for the title of this post belongs to my feeling that i really want to say out loud: “ I’m a traditional dancer but i’m not passive on politic and social discussion about my country, Indonesia” . Remember, our opinion as the agent of change is really necessary.

I always try to observe someone’s opinion about politic. Me, as the student of social and political science in the green campus feel like i have to not only learn something about politic but it’s a duty for me to put the knowledge i have got to the real life especially in the place i live. Yes, in the society. People around me give the comments about politic when I try to ask them what politic is and why it is so. Almost of them state that politic is dirty and it’s not good deal for them to be ‘in’. Politic is something that can make the reverse of something. Something which is true can be wrong and also the reverse. Politic is full of tactic, full of intrics, who has the highest power will be the controller. 


When i heard those statements, i can go along with some points. But, all those statements come from us, i mean ‘us’ as ‘we’ as the Indonesian people, which means that our paradigm is because we see the reality of politic life in Indonesia. Everyday we watch the news, read the newspaper and all the media state the same atmosphere that politic life in Indonesia is dirty, bad and far from the peace. See? The media exaggerates the news, all the negative side are expressed clearly in the media, but the positive side is rarely expressed on it. So, it’s not a weird when the government lost the trust from the society, and the statements above about politic are unbeatable. 

In my opinion, we need another description about politic. We can see the politic in the other country, like Japan, Singapore, India. I know exactly we can not make a comparation among them because they are in a good term of economic side, so it will influence the way they manage the political atmosphere. The point is when the society is in a good prosperity, they will put their attention to the politic more credible. 

How about the students of college like me? I think that not all of us know exactly about politic, i suggest that making an open discussion forum about politic is important for us to open our mind and not limit our perception. Why? Once again, we are the agent of change. Who cares about our country if it’s not us?

Yet, the cover of our president is already opened. He’s not as charismatic as his performance, moreover he is really bad on certain vital sides on being a president. We almost get the full reality.

It’s my opinion, how about yours?

Barca, Canda dan Tawa

Lama tidak mengepos postingan mengenai jalan-jalan. Mencoba mengingat beberapa hal saat dua tahun lalu berada di kota yang hampir setiap orang ingin kunjungi, Barcelona.
